The Music Education program at Adrian College prepares students for a career in K-12 public school music education. Singers and instrumentalists are prepared to teach general music, as well as choral and instrumental ensembles in elementary, middle and high school settings. Our BME degree emphasizes excellent musicianship, high performance standards and a thorough understanding of traditional pedagogical practices. Students will learn about and practice teaching all instruments, voice and general music in laboratory classroom settings and in fieldwork experiences in the local public schools.
