Bachelor of Music in Performance (BM)
The Adrian College Music Department offers comprehensive degree programs fully certified by the state of Michigan and aligned with the standards set by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
Below is an outline of required music courses for the Bachelor of Music in Performance. The courses are laid out in the recommended sequence of instruction from freshman through senior year. In addition to the courses listed below, students must also take general studies courses and additional courses outside of music as determined by graduation requirements.
The BM in Performance is an intensive degree program focusing on the development of the individual's ability on his/her instrument, with a concentration on connecting music theory and history to performance practice. Students pursuing this degree track are encouraged to select a minor in another academic field in order to complete all college requirements.
