Eric Graber is a native of Ohio and resides in Toledo and commutes to Adrian College several days a week to teach private voice. Additional teaching experience includes The Toledo School for the Arts, University of Toledo, Owens Community College, Ashland College, and The Wilbur J Gould Voice Research Center, a division of The Denver Center For The Performing Arts in Colorado.
He has appeared with critical acclaim in leading and comprimarios
operatic roles with Eugene Opera, Central City Opera , Michigan
Opera Theatre, Tulsa Opera , Des Moines Metro Opera, Dayton Opera,
Toledo Opera, The Denver Symphony Orchestra, Townsend Opera Players,
and Colorado Opera Troupe. As a concert artist, Mr. Graber has
performed as soloist throughout the United States and Europe. He has
appeared with the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Adrian Symphony
Orchestra, Aurora Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Sacred Heart Basilica
in Newark, NJ, St. George's Choral Society of NYC, The Canterbury
Singers of Toledo at Guildford Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St.
Paul’s Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral, Durham
Cathedral and York Minster in Great Britain. Solo repertoire ranges
from the Mass in G Minor by Vaughan Williams to Les Noces of
Stravinsky.
Mr. Graber received the Hassensal Scholarship, Betty Weir Memorial
Voice Scholarship and the Lyric Theatre Scholarship. He has also
received the Arts Foundation of Michigan Award, a two-time winner of
the Barthelmes Award – Metropolitan Opera Competition, and the
Florence O. Wilson Voice Award for "most promising career in opera"
at the Stewart National Operatic Competition.
Mr. Graber earned degrees from The University of Tulsa and The
University of Toledo, and extended degree studies at The University
of Colorado-Boulder in vocal performance and pedagogy. At present,
